Before you promote a Telegram channel, prepare the experience people will find when they arrive. A clear promise, useful first resource, and intentional welcome message turn early attention into a repeatable growth loop.
Write a specific promise
Someone should understand why to join in one sentence. Replace “useful tips” with something concrete: “two short weekly tips for choosing home textiles, plus subscriber-only offers.” Use the same promise in your profile, promotional posts, and welcome message.
Then give new subscribers an immediate, small win: a checklist, buying guide, or answer to a common question. It should be useful without making them complete a long form.
Start with attention you already have
Your quickest early sources are the places where people already know you:
- explain the benefit in Instagram Stories and add the channel link;
- add a QR code to packaging, receipts, or your email signature;
- ask loyal customers to share it with one relevant friend;
- test a one-time recommendation swap with an adjacent, non-competing channel.
Do not chase the biggest channel first. A partner with 500–2,000 engaged subscribers often brings better traffic than a large, generic placement.
Plan the first conversation
Do not go silent after a person joins. Your welcome message should confirm they are in the right place, deliver the promised value, and ask one easy question. For example: “Are you choosing this for yourself or as a gift?” The answer gives you useful context for later messages.
In AdChat, this can be a short flow: an immediate welcome, a helpful follow-up two days later, and a link to your most useful resource after a week. Keep one primary action in each message.
Review one metric each week
Track the source of new subscribers and replies to the first message. Within a few weeks, you will see which Stories, QR codes, and partnerships bring people who actually engage. Stop repeating weak sources and double down on the useful ones.
Those first 100 people are your research group. Their questions will tell you what to publish, automate, and offer next.
